DSW Reports Lower First Quarter Profit

Columbus-based shoe retailer DSW reports a first-quarter profit of 34.5 million dollars, compared with nearly 40 million in the same period a year ago. Sales rose by nearly 43 million to more than 601 million dollars. The company says it successfully adjusted to changing sales trends.
