Elmwood Place Council Members Resign

The village of Elmwood Place in Southwest Ohio is down to two council members after the majority resigned. Council member Jerald Robertson says officials are getting outside advice on how to proceed with four seats vacant because they cannot pass legislation with only two members. Robertson blames the resignations on the controversy over speed cameras. The village became a focal point for debate about using traffic cameras for law enforcement. Thousands of people were ticketed, leading to a lawsuit and a court injunction to stop the use of the cameras.
