Sentencing Of Columbus Cop Rescheduled

A federal judge has rescheduled sentencing for a former Columbus police school resource officer convicted of coercing sexual behavior from students. Todd Smith pleaded guilty earlier this year to using a cellphone to entice two Centennial High School students to engage in sexual activity. Smith was to be sentenced today, but the judge rescheduled it for June 28th.

Jim has been with WCBE since 1996. Before that he worked as a reporter at another Columbus radio station, and for three newspapers in Southwest Florida.
