Giffords Campaigns In Cincinnati For Tougher Gun Laws

The former Arizona Congresswoman injured in a mass shooting visited Cincinnati yesterday to talk about the importance of keeping guns out of the hands of criminals and the mentally ill. Gabby Giffords and her husband, former astronaut Mark Kelly, are touring the nation to spread awareness and encourage the public to lobby for policy changes aimed at reducing gun violence. Giffords says those include stronger background checks.

Kelly says some people knew the man who shot his wife in January of 2011 was mentally ill.
