CCS Spending More On Attendance Data Scandal

The Columbus School District is spending more than 500 thousand dollars for legal services related to the state's attendance-data rigging investigation. The school board has set aside another 250-thousand for the law firm representing the district, on top of a 315-thousand dollar allocation that has already been spent. The board hired a law firm last August after the state auditor began investigating whether district employees tampered with student data . The FBI later joined the investigation and two parents filed lawsuits against the board and district officials.
