Three Men Charged In Illegal Fireworks Display

Three Clark County men are facing misdemeanor charges of possessing and discharging fireworks, and more charges are pending. Sheriff Gene Kelly says John Derr, Michael Sweeney and Kevin Sweeney ran the area's largest unsanctioned fireworks display of the year. Kelly says a deputy was burned by falling debris at the scene in Moorefield Township last Wednesday when making the arrest. The trio has pleaded not guilty.
