Ohio Democratic Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur wants to see improvements to the National World War II Memorial in Washington that she helped establish. Kaptur believes there are ways the National Park Service and other groups overseeing the memorial can improve it. Kaptur wrote legislation that helped create the 7.4-acre marble memorial after a World War II veteran in Ohio demanded to know why there wasn't a memorial he could visit with his grandchildren. The memorial dedicated in 2004 has more than 4 million yearly visitors.
