Westerville Woman Pleads Not Guilty To Drugging Children

A Westerville home daycare operator pleaded not guilty this morning to charges of drugging children to make them sleep. Westerville police say 37-year-old Tammy Eppley fed six children pancake batter laced with melatonin and benadryl, as well as a hormone and a sleep aid. Police arrested Eppley last month after they obtained text messages in which she acknowledged giving the children the drugs. She says the text messages were tongue-in-cheek jokes made to a friend, and she denies doing anything wrong.
