Invention Could Save Young Lives

An invention by a child in a University of Akron competition could soon be saving lives. U of A asked young competitors to invent something made primarily of rubber bands. 11-year-old Andrew Pelham of Nashville invented a device that prevents young children from being left in hot cars. The device hooks onto the driver's seat and the car door, forcing the driver to look into the backseat before getting out.
