Prosecutors Seek To Try Simmonds As Adult

The Columbus boy charged in two murders could be tried as an adult. Franklin County prosecutors are asking a juvenile court judge to bind 17-year-old Devonere Simmonds over to adult court. Simmonds and 17-year-old Nathaniel Brunner are charged with killing a convenience store clerk and another teenager last week on the South side. A judge scheduled an August 5th hearing to consider the request.
