OSU Clears Miller

Ohio State University says quarterback Braxton Miller did not profit from the sale of items he had signed at a Big Ten preseason kickoff luncheon. Athletic director Gene Smith says the university talked to Miller after someone offered autographs and signed memorabilia for sale online without Miller's knowledge. The NCAA is investigating whether Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Manziel of Texas A&M was paid for signing hundreds of autographs in January. Smith says Ohio State, which is still on probation because of the memorabilia scandal of two years ago, first heard of Miller's signed items being available on Sunday.
