Charges Filed In Death Of Hospital Official

Authorities have filed charges against the driver of a bus that struck and killed a Children’s Hospital employee in late May. 62-year-old Karl Beem is scheduled to appear in court Friday morning to face vehicular homicide and vehicular manslaughter charges. Authorities say Beem was driving a hospital shuttle when he hit 35-year-old David Newsom and 40-year-old Peter White as they walked around a construction area on May 29th. Newsom was killed and White was treated at a hospital.
