Ohio Governor John Kasich wants the state to lead the charge to put a balanced budget amendment in the U.S. Constitution. 34 states are needed to call for a constitutional convention and 38 states must ratify it. Kasich says 20 states already have a resolution calling for a convention and he wants Ohio added to the list.
The next step in Kasich's effort will be to find sponsors of a resolution in the General Assembly.
