Two Men Indicted In Dayton Teen's Beating Death

Two men have been indicted on aggravated murder charges in the beating death of a teen who was left at a southwest Ohio hospital.

The Warren County prosecutor says 39-year-old Michael Watson and 36-year-old Michael Geldrich, both of Franklin, also are charged with aggravated robbery, rape, kidnapping and tampering with evidence. Authorities say 16-year-old Dione Payne of Dayton was beaten in an attempt to steal drugs and money from him at a home about 15 miles south of Dayton. Police say Payne was left at a Middletown hospital Dec. 1 and later died. Watson and Geldrich could get life in prison without parole if convicted of aggravated murder. A third defendant was indicted on a robbery-related charge but isn't charged in Payne's death.
