Family Settles Lawsuit Against Perry Township

The family of Dublin man who sustained permanent brain damage after police used a taser on him while he was atop an 8-foot fence has settled their federal civil rights lawsuit for 2.25 million dollars. The family of Matthew Hook sued Perry Township, its board of trustees and police officer Shawn Bean. Officials say Bean stunned Hook as he climbed the fence, causing him to fall head-first onto the concrete below.
