Feds Set Up Tip Line To Help Solve Cold Case Homicides
Central Ohio authorities are asking for tips from the public to help solve 15 mostly drug-related homicides that share common threads. State and federal police and prosecutors say the killings, almost all in Columbus, date back to 1998 and often involve violent home invasions. Authorities say loosely connected groups and associates may be responsible. U.S. Attorney Carter Stewart says some suspects are currently in prison on unrelated charges but more information is needed to make cases against them. Stewart says says unsolved homicides hurt the victims' families and the broader community.
Stewart says a tip line is up and running at 614-849-1766.
