Bus Ridership Rose Last Year In Ohio

Bus ridership in Ohio's four largest cities increased last year, with Cincinnati leading the way.The increases mirror national statistics released Monday by the American Public Transportation Association that show people are using it more than any time since the 1950s. In Cincinnati, bus ridership rose by 3.5 percent last year, to more than 16.9 million - more than triple the 1 percent national increase. Cleveland saw a 1.5 percent increase last year to more than 39.6 million. Toledo rose by 1 percent to 3.4 million, while Columbus rose by 3 tenths of a percent to 18.7 million bus rides.
