Court Orders Former Cop Back To Jail

The former Akron police captain freed last year after spending nearly 15 years in prison for his ex-wife's killing was ordered today to return to jail. A Summit County judge issued the order for Douglas Prade a day after an appeals court said a lower court judge was wrong to release him. Prade was freed when the lower court decided new DNA testing of a bite mark on the victim's body proved he did not commit the crime. The appeals court concluded the test failed to give a clear answer.
