Athens County Commissioners today plan to appoint a temporary replacement for suspended Sheriff Pat Kelly, who has been indicted in a corruption case. The charges include improper use of public funds to buy meals and personal apparel, selling county property to a scrap yard and stealing wire from a county garage. Kelly has denied wrongdoing. His trial begins in September.
