Newly released National Hockey League team-by-team attendance data shows the taxpayer-funded bailout of the Columbus Blue Jackets has not helped put people in the seats. The Jackets are next to last in the league in attendance, with just over 14 thousand people in the stands each home game. The team has reached capacity at it's arena four times, despite being in the hunt for a playoff spot this season. Columbus and Franklin County bought the team's arena from its wealthy owners two years ago, claiming it would protect jobs in the area.
