A judge has stripped the police officer certification of former Delaware officer Patrick Gerke, while sparing him a jail term for fraud and forgery.The 31-year-old Gerke was sentenced Wednesday on charges of posing as his own attorney to send emails to his mistress and forging his time sheets to hide his affair from his wife. Gerke was charged in January with identity fraud and unauthorized use of city property.
