More State Grant Money For School Security Available

Public and private schools will be getting an additional 17 million dollars in grants from the state to increase security. State schools superintendent Richard Ross says upgraded security features could include a system allowing districts to immediately interact with state and local authorities.

Ross says the money will also allow district to implement stronger safety plans. The state would also provide free safety-plan training and consultation to districts through a grant to the University of Findlay.
