Health officials say vaccinations for mumps are not a guarantee of protection after two Worthington Kilbourne High School students and a teacher caught the virus despite being vaccinated. The Ohio Department of Health says the mumps vaccine is 90-percent effective. Shelby County health officials meanwhile have confirmed two cases of mumps in a senior citizen and child. They say the cases are not connected to the outbreak that has sickened nearly 400 people in central Ohio.
