Clear skies predicted for much of Ohio will allow people to see a meteor shower early Saturday. Earth will pass by debris from Comet 209P/Linear. The debris is what creates the meteor shower. Scientists believe the shower could produce hundreds of meteors per minute. Experts say the shower may be viewed from 2 a.m. Saturday until just before dawn. Some observatories in the state are open to visitors who want a better look. Comet 209P/Linear was discovered in 2004. It will be 7.6 million miles from Earth on Saturday. The shower is named Camelopardalids, after the giraffe constellation.
