Ceremonies were held at the Statehouse yesterday to remember two U.S. soldiers from Ohio who were killed in combat last year. The House and Senate met in a joint session to award the Medal of Distinction to the families of Specialist Angel Lopez and Staff Sergeant Sonny Zimmerman, who lost their lives in Afghanistan. State leaders also participated in the annual wreath-laying ceremony in the Statehouse Atrium, honoring the military members from Ohio who've died in the line of duty over the years.
