Hourly Statehouse Parking To Cost More

The Capitol Square Review and Advisory board plans to raise the rate for the public to park at the Statehouse garage. Monthly parking rates will not change, but officials say hourly rates will increase by one-dollar on July 1st. The increase will not be included for customers who use one of the garage’s five "Pay-on-Foot" stations instead of paying at exit booths. The board says the increase is designed to reduce long lines at the booths. Between 400 and 500 people on average park hourly in the garage.
