Ohio's unemployment rate dropped again in May. The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services says the seasonally adjusted rate in May was 5.5 percent, down six-tenths of a point from April and two-tenths of a point from March. It is the state's lowest jobless rate in seven years. The national rate was 6.3 percent in April and May. The department says the number of unemployed workers fell by 11 thousand from April to 317 thousand. The biggest job gains were in professional and business services, mining, and trade, transportation and utilities. The biggest declines were in the leisure and hospitality, and the construction sectors.
