Columbus Public Health officials say two pools of mosquitoes on the South Side have tested positive for West Nile virus for the first time this season. The spraying of pesticides will take place Wednesday between Alum Creek Drive and Three Creeks Metro Park, the area south of Watkins Road and north of Williams Road, the area between Hamilton Road and Courtright Road, and the area south of I-70 and north of Kimberly Parkway. The Ohio Department of Health says there were 24 human cases of West Nile last year and three deaths.
