Columbus police are asking for the public's help in solving Sunday's robbery and shooting outside an East side motel. Police say 18-year-old John Lucas is hospitalized in stable condition after he was robbed outside the Super Eight Motel along Brice Road. Police say two men robbed Lucas, then shot him in the back when he tried to run away. In another case, police say one man was killed and an unidentified woman is hospitalized in critical condition following a double-shooting Sunday on the East side. Police say 39-year-old Michael Cumberland was killed on the front porch of a Berkeley Road home. The unnamed female was found inside the residence. Police are searching for suspects and a motive.
