Franklin County Administrator Don Brown says he will resign on October 31st. A statement issued by county officials says the 65-year-old Brown wants to preserve his eligibility for retirement benefits. Brown is a certified public accountant who joined county government in 2005. County Commissioners will conduct a national search for a successor.
