Federal prosecutors are asking a judge to start the process of extraditing the former deputy state treasurer from Pakistan. 39-year-old Amer Ahmad pleaded guilty last December to charges in an alleged kickback scheme at the treasurer's office. The former Chicago comptroller was arrested in Pakistan in April after attempting to enter the country using fake documents. Ahmad worked for two Democratic Ohio treasurers; Rich Cordray, a former Franklin County Treasurer; and Kevin Boyce, a former Columbus City Council member.
