Former Ohio State University marching band director Jon Waters claims cultural changes were underway before he was fired. Waters has written to university officials outlining several steps he says he took to eliminate several forms of hazing and the "sexualized culture" within the band. A group of band alumni have launched an online petition to try to revoke Waters' firing last week, calling the school's probe a sham.
