Second Defendant Sentenced In Slaying Near Cemetery

A Columbus man will serve 5 years in prison for his role in a 2013 slaying on the near South side. 25-year-old Derrick Robinson was sentenced this week for shooting and killing 21-year-old Akeem Johnson at the entrance to Green Lawn Cemetery. Robinson's co-defendant, 22-year-old Dasean Battle, was sentenced in May to life in prison. Police say the shooting followed an argument over Robinson's girlfriend.
