A Champaign County grand jury has filed murder and other charges in the death of a child rape suspect days after he was assaulted in a county jail and hospitalized. Sheriff's deputies say inmate David Piersol was assaulted on April 5 at Tri-County Regional Jail in Mechanicsburg and died a few days later. Deputies say now former inmate Zachary Butler faces multiple charges, and a warrant has been issued for his arrest.
