The Worthington school board has appointed assistant superintendent Trent Bowers to succeed outgoing superintendent Thomas Tucker, who is leaving at the end of the school year to take a similar post in suburban Cincinnati. Formal approval of the appointment is expected next month. Bowers was a finalist for the job in 2011.
