Cleveland Indians pitcher Corey Kluber has won the American League Cy Young Award, as voted on by the Baseball Writers' Association of America. Kluber went 18-9 with a 2.44 ERA and 269 strikeouts in 2014, his first full major league season. He is the fourth Cleveland pitcher to win the award, joining Gaylord Perry, CC Sabathia and Cliff Lee. Kluber's contract calls for him to receive a 10 thousand dollar bonus for winning the award. Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Clayton Kershaw won the award in the National League.
