Two People Announce Plans To Run For Lancaster Mayor

City of Lancaster

Lancaster Service-Safety Director Brian Kuhn says he will seek the Republican nomination for mayor next year. His candidacy comes after Republican Mayor David Smith said he will not seek a fourth term. The 50-year-old Kuhn previously served as county treasurer and also runs an accounting firm. 56-year-old Democrat Gregory Russell, a former Lancaster City Council member, says he will also run. The 66-year-old Smith says he wants to spend more time with his family.

Jim has been with WCBE since 1996. Before that he worked as a reporter at another Columbus radio station, and for three newspapers in Southwest Florida.
