An Athens County man arrested for placing First Amendment stickers over a church directory on the county courthouse has been cleared of a criminal mischief charge. 69-year-old Eliot Kalman was charged in October for attaching stickers over the list of local places of worship. He says the directory violates the constitutional separation of church and state. A judge agreed to acquit Kalman based on insufficient evidence.
