Threats Against Cranley Prompt New City Hall Security Measures

Hamilton County Sheriff's Office

New security measures will be in place next week at Cincinnati City Hall.  An extra guard will be stationed at the Plum Street entrance to screen people scheduled to meet with the mayor or city manager. The move comes after a man drove his pickup truck to the City Hall doors last week to see Mayor John Cranley and a series of threatening emails were sent to the mayor's office. Hamilton County Sheriff's deputies have arrested a homeless man, David Lask, on charges of sending the threatening emails to Cranley and Ohio Governor John Kasich.   Lask is charged with telecommunications harassment.
