Miami University Couple Slain In Murder-Suicide Was From Central Ohio

Miami University police have identified those involved in Sunday's murder-suicide on campus. Police say 27-year-old Larry Tipton II of Lancaster fatally shot his 21-year-old former girlfriend Rebecca Eldemire of New Albany ,then took his own life.  Eldemire called police Saturday night to report Tipton was on his way to Oxford. Officers met him in Eldemire's apartment complex parking lot and escorted him inside. Police say the two spoke and Eldemire then told officers they could leave.
