Athens Schools Leader Placed On Leave

Athens City Schools

Athens City Schools Superintendent Carl Martin has been placed on paid administrative leave amid allegations of failing to report a sexual relationship between a teacher and his students. County Prosecutor Keller Blackburn says Martin failed to report allegations that 35-year-old Isaac Thomas had sex with some students. Thomas was sentenced last week to five years in prison.

Jim has been with WCBE since 1996. Before that he worked as a reporter at another Columbus radio station, and for three newspapers in Southwest Florida.
