Woman Convicted In Former Boxer's Death

Cleveland Police

The Cleveland woman convicted of killing two-time female boxing champion Cashmere Jackson will serve ten years in prison.

23-year-old Sandie Sanderson killed the 26-year-old Jackson at a gas station last July.  Prosecutors say Sanderson rear-ended a car Jackson was riding in, and when Jackson got out she jumped on the hood of Sanderson's car.  That's when Sanderson drove away and Jackson fell off and was hit by a second car. Sanderson's attorney says his client felt threatened.

Prosecutors say the motive was an apparent love triangle.
