Three Ohio Department of Transportation workers were injured this morning when they were struck by a pickup truck on I-70 on the West side. ODOT says the crew was patching potholes on eastbound 70 between Hilliard Rome Road and I-270 when the crash occurred. A worker outside of their truck was struck by a pickup that entered the work zone. The worker sustained a broken leg. The two other workers were struck as they sat in their ODOT vehicles. They sustained minor injuries. The trio was taken to a nearby hospital. Their names have yet to be released. Charges against the driver of the pickup are pending.
