ALA Gives Failing Marks For Franklin County's Air Quality

Franklin County's air quality is getting a failing grade in the American Lung Association's "State of the Air 2015" report. It gives the county an "F"  for unhealthy levels of smog.  All of Ohio's urban counties received failing marks in the report, based on the number of air quality alerts issued and other factors.  The authors say their report does not include data from last year, when no air quality alerts were issued in central Ohio. Smog is formed in hot weather when the sun cooks pollution in the air from vehicle and plant emissions
