Ohio Department of Natural Resources officials say inspections of the failing Buckeye Lake dam will begin now to determine how many docks need to be removed. The department says construction of a new dam is scheduled to begin next summer. The department has banned water skiing and tubing on Buckeye Lake, and imposed docking and boating restrictions, because of low water levels necessary to keep the dam from failing.
