A Columbus man who pleaded guilty to his role in a hit-and-run accident that killed a man crossing Westerville Road has been sentenced to four months in jail and three years' probation. 37-year-old Jason Powell struck and killed 21-year-old William Crockett last year and fled the scene. Powell was charged with failing to stop after an accident and obstructing official business, but not in the death because the victim was not near a marked crosswalk.
