The teen suspect in the murder of a local handyman will be tried as an adult. A judge has transferred the case of 19-year-old Jafet Medrano out of juvenile court after finding probable cause that he killed 49-year-old William Keen. Prosecutors say Medrano shot and killed Keen during an attempted robbery last year in Prairie Township in 2014. Medrano is being held on 250 thousand dollars bond. A co-defendant, 20-year-old Bryan Mathews, is scheduled for trail in February.
