Pike County Deputy Fired After Being Charged In Fatal Shooting

Pike County Sheriff's Office

The Pike County Sheriff has fired a deputy charged with the fatal shooting of a neighbor in his home last week. Joel Jenkins told dispatchers his gun had misfired and his neighbor, 40-year-old Jason Brady, had been shot at Jenkins home in Waverly. Jenkins has pleaded not guilty and a judge set bond at 100 thousand dollars.
