A Columbus man shot and wounded by a police officer in January of last year will serve probation for illegal possession of a firearm. Prosecutors say 29-year-old Jamii Turner pointed the weapon at officers responding to reports of trouble outside of a Beechwood road bar. Turner was convicted on drug charges in 2007 and is not allowed to possess a gun.
