Columbus Man Pleads Guilty To Murder Of His Pregnant Girlfriend

Franklin County Sheriff

A central Ohio man accused of killing his pregnant girlfriend at their apartment and burying her in a wooded area near a church has pleaded guilty to charges including aggravated murder and aggravated arson.

Twenty-four-year-old Jacob Ferrero also pleaded guilty to counts of murder and gross abuse of a corpse Tuesday in Columbus. Franklin County prosecutors say Ferrero struck and strangled 22-year-old Samantha Greenlee at their apartment on the city's west side in October 2014, when she was three months pregnant. They say he later set fire to the apartment. Greenlee's body was found in a shallow grave in Groveport. Ferrero's sentencing is March 9. Prosecutors say he could face life in prison without parole.
